If you want to create something new using silky beads I can give you a little vision of what it might be.
Silky beads have a square shape, size 6×6 mm. It is a pressed glass bead with two parallel holes drilled diagonally through the side of the bead.
Silky beads may be look similar with Miyuki Tila beads, but they are not the same.
I went to my local Hobby Lobby store and found many colors of these beads.
Like every woman I have a hard time selecting just one color that is why I grabbed most of the colors.
There are several projects I have made with silky beads.
- Beaded Chain.
Here is my video tutorial on how to make a chain. In this video, I speak my 1st language but I added English subtitles.
2. Pattern #1. Two variations of colors of the same bracelet. The first bracelet is a contrast of colors. Vanilla and Rubin. PDF instructions are here.
Lacy shape, about 1 1\4” wide. Materials you need: silky beads, 4mm pearls and 11\0 seed beads.
The same pattern in different color.
I replaced 4mm pearls with Czech faceted beads. I didn’t expect to like this color but it goes very well with jeans.
3. Pattern #2 in 2 colors. Material: 3mm pearls, silky beads and seed bead.
These are three projects of mine with silky beads, they are easy to work with and offer a large variety of colors to select from.
